Plan on six to ten weeks for a Detroit date. The presses and blanks ship freight from our Fullerton shop and the crew flies in a day early, so the calendar is set by shipping and the venue's load-in, not by press time. A closer date is still worth asking about.
A Detroit booking timeline
- Ten weeks out: the right time for a Detroit Auto Show activation, an auto-industry launch or anything in the winter holiday stretch, which fill first.
- Six to ten weeks out: the normal window. Send the date, the venue and a headcount and we lock the setup.
- About two weeks out: the last easy point to move a date, because the freight is scheduled.
- About a week out: the art is final and the blank order is locked.
What speeds things up
Have the logo ready, a rough headcount, the venue and the date, and which stations you want. At Huntington Place, add the booth number and the marshalling window. The more of that we get in the first email, the faster the art gets proofed and the booking gets confirmed.
Short on time? Ask anyway. Simple art and standard blanks make a short run-up possible, and we'll tell you quickly whether the freight can make it.

Detroit planning notes
Why a Detroit date needs the extra weeks
Detroit is 1,969 miles from the shop. The station travels as freight, and a Huntington Place show has its own receiving and electrical deadlines on top of that. Most of the lead time goes to lining those up.
